The final Saturday in June saw a scorching hot day at Windsor, with the day designated as Ladies Day. A bumper crowd witnessed a super days racing in boiling hot conditions.
There was two Class 2 races on show, The British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes run over a shade over a mile with over £16, 500 pounds to the winner. The other feature race on the card was the Class 2 Free Digital Racecard At Raceday-Ready.com Handicap, run over 1m 3 and a half furlongs.

New Chelsea completed the first leg of a double on the card for trainer Ralph Beckett and jockey Edward Greatrex. The three-year-old held on by a neck over Stanage to take the British Stallion Studs EBF race.

Trainer Ollie Sangster was a relived man after ending his seven week wait for a winner after Sanda Of Marra landed the 6f novice stakes under John Egan.

Sangster said after the race  “They’re all running really well but it was nice to get a winner because we’ve been hitting the crossbar a lot recently.

“They ran well last week and the main one was Simmering in the Albany. We obviously bumped into a really nice filly in Fairy Godmother, but that’s fine, and hopefully we have some nice horses to come out in the next few weeks, so we can build on it for the rest of the year.”

Apprentice Sean Dylan Bowen continued his impressive season when he partnered Barafundle Bay to a shock  win in the opening 1m3½f handicap at the odds of 33-1.

The Irishman brought up his 16th winner of the campaign when Notre Maison won the finale on the card, a five furlong handicap.
